LG Smart Home AI Robot: Supports control of smart home appliances

On December 27, LG Electronics announced today that it is ready to launch its innovative smart home AI robot at CES 2024.

Officials said that this robot uses a "two-legged" wheel design, can move independently at home, support connection and control of smart home appliances and home IoT devices, and can also interact with users.

LG said that the new AI robot uses the Qualcomm Robotics RB5 platform to achieve powerful device-side AI functions, such as user facial recognition. The LG AI robot has built-in cameras, speakers and various sensors to collect real-time environmental data, including temperature, humidity and indoor air quality.

LG AI robots can even act as pet monitors and security guards, allowing users to remotely view and care for their pets and send alerts when any abnormal activity is detected. When noone is at home, it can automatically patrol the home and send notifications to the user's mobile phone if it finds that the window is open or the light is on. In addition, it can also help save energy by connecting to smart sockets and turning off unused devices in the house.

When users return home, the LG AI Robot greets them at the front door, identifies their emotions by analyzing their voice and facial expressions, and selects music to suit their mood. It can also assist users with their daily lives by providing traffic details, weather updates, personal schedules or medication reminders.
